What we do

The Project consists of -

  • Pre and antenatal training by British volunteer medics
  • Free antenatal and postnatal clinical service

Proshanti demonstrates a unique model of government/non government/private partnership in health service delivery for the poorest in the community. It has a formal tripartite agreement partnership with Juri Upazila Health Complex (UHC), the local government health service and Abdul Aziz Clinic, a local private clinic. Under the agreement, UHC and government partners refer poor patients to Proshanti which provides all technical and financial support to the project.  The majority of the patients are treated at the Abdul Aziz Medical Centre in Juri. Complicated cases are referred at Proshanti's expense to Sylhet Medical Hospital.
