"Both my husband and I are happy with everything Proshanti has done for us .
I will tell my friends and neighbours about the wonderful service I have received from Proshanti" (Morjina Begum, 19)
Welcome to Proshanti!
“Proshanti” is a Bengali word meaning 'serene' , chosen because of connotations of wholeness and healing, and the charity Proshanti UK was created in 2010 to improve healthcare to families in the town of Juri, Greater Sylhet in North East Bangladesh. The charity is based in the UK at the Bromley by Bow Centre in East London. Our main programme provides quality, regular antenatal and postnatal care to under privileged women in Juri. The decision to concentrate in this particular region is because many British Bangladeshis have their roots there and many still have families living in the region.
